Why do i have to change the furnace filter every week?
the landlord of my home don't want me to change the carpet because the one level house we live in don't have the proper he says closure underneath but he wants me to change the filter al the time im notice the filter is clogged every week so im changing every week and dust is everywhere ceiling fan walls everywhere even in the summer when we don't run the heater why is that

I just moved here last November, so I'm not sure how long it's been, but I do know the furnace was new last summer, so it hasn't been forever...We don't smoke or have pets, and the filter looks grey, but there's no dust or obvious hair or anything on the filter. I don't want to replace it if I don't have to, but I don't want the furnace to work harder than it has to, either.

I bought filtrate furnace filters for my central heating and air unit but I don't know which side is up (the?
wire look or the plain white look My husband put it in, and he doesn't usually pay attention...so, the wrapper was thrown away. He put it in, wire down toward the unit and the plain white is facing up toward me.

Need to replace furnace filter?
I have a Trane XE 78 Furnace. I took out the filter today and it is filthy. I also noticed that it is an electronic air filter. So far I have been unable to find out where to find a replacement for the blue filter pad which is what is dirty . From what i have found online though when I look up electronic air filters is that they can cost a couple hundred dollars. I can't imagine that this little blue pad costs that much so I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction on where to find a replacement for mine. On the metal casing that the blue pad is inside of it has a measurement on it of 16" x25"

Can a dirty or clogged furnace filter cause decreased air output?
We have very little warm air coming through our registers. Could this be caused by a clogged filter? Are there other things that cause this problem? If so, please list them.

thanks for your responce texas but the furnace filter is new and is in a plastic reinforced frame and the correct size and still gets sucked in.. i just bought the home 6 months ago 3000 square foot ranch..is there a ratio between the opening for the filter and the sizes and the number return air vents?..thanks
